Tudor Rose, You Make Us Feel Dumb
Color us stupid, but the English accent can sometimes throw us for a loop. Like, there are just some words that, when spoken in a lovely British lilt, make one sound like one has been caught mid-sentence while going to town on a jellybean casserole.
We love fish and chips just as much as the next Anglophile, but our brains are so racked by this commercial for Tudor Rose windows and flooring, we feel like there’s something wrong with us. And Urlesque readers across the pond will likely wag their bloody fingers at me for this, but here’s my question: is Tudor Rose supposed to sound like “Chew-dure Yoz”? WHO IS IN CHARGE HERE?
(Also, good luck getting that jingle out of your head, by the way. Tudor Rose is the new Ke$ha!) (Or is it “Kay-zjha”?)
